[Colorado Springs, CO, August 29, 2024] – USA Table Tennis (USATT) has announced a new process for tournament sanctioning that simplifies and streamlines the work of tournament directors. These changes support USATT’s strategic goal of increasing the number of sanctioned events across the country and enhancing competitiveness for all members.
Two important changes to the sanctions process are:
The new sanctioning request form sets specific minimum requirements for each star designation assigned to a tournament and provides participants with more information than before. Once the form is submitted, the request will be received by each tournament coordinator and Tina Ren at USATT headquarters to ensure all required fields are completed and the minimum requirements for the selected star designation are met.
This new tournament approval process is effective immediately.
Tournament directors looking to sanction their tournaments can find a link to the new sanctioning form on the USA Table Tennis Tournament Sanctioning page.
