Canadian triathlete Paula Findlay (pictured above racing at Mont Tremblant in June, see article below) continues to improve her time trial record, placing 18th in the individual time trial, bettering her result from last year's World Championships in Scotland (25th place) in only her fifth time trial.
The race was won by Grace Brown of Australia, with Demi Voerling of the Netherlands in second and Chloe Dygert of the United States completing the podium in third place.
The Canadian finished 3.09 seconds behind the winner with an average speed of 42.290 kph. Olivia Baril from Quebec was also a Canadian in the race, finishing in 30th place. The 26-year-old Baril, racing for Movistar, finished 40 seconds behind Findlay.
In late June, Findlay won her third Canadian International Tennis Championship, beating Baril and Sarah Van Dam. Although she did not make the Olympic team after her June win, she was asked to again represent Canada at the World Championships.
Two days after that June race, Findlay completed an impressive double victory at Ironman 70.3 Mont Tremblant.

Findlay, who placed runner-up at the 2022 Ironman 70.3 World Championships, is one of the top-ranked athletes on the T100 World Triathlon Tour and won the Beijing Challenge just two weeks ago. She will continue to collect frequent flyer points towards next weekend's T100 race in Ibiza.
