SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE (September 24, 2024): The Bexar County Coroner has identified the teen who was shot and killed outside a sports bar on San Antonio's east side.
Police said Romeo Cedillo, 14, died from a gunshot wound to the neck and shoulder. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
A shootout ensued, and a 21-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, was also killed, police said.
ORIGINAL STORY: A 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were killed in a shooting outside an East Side sports bar, according to San Antonio police.
The deadly shooting happened around 10:35 p.m. Sunday near Vibe Sports Bar and Grill in the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue, near Covington Road and Comanche Park.
Police say an altercation occurred in the bar's parking lot and an unknown person shot and killed two men and a teenager.
A 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, whose identities have not been released, were pronounced dead at the scene.
One man was taken to hospital and is currently in stable condition, police said.
The shooter fled in an unidentified vehicle.
