NEW ORLEANS – James Madison freshman forward Ginny Lackey and third-year defender Jamie Schwartz both led the Dukes in the opening weekend of league play and were named Sun Belt Conference women's soccer Player of the Week awards.
Lackey becomes the second James Madison freshman and third in the league this season to be named Offensive Player of the Week, while Schwartz becomes the second Duke freshman to be named Defensive Player of the Week back-to-back.
JMU also becomes just the second Sun Belt women's soccer program to sweep the league's top weekly honors this season, joining Arkansas State in Week 1.
Women's Football Offensive Player of the Week
Ginny Lackey, James Madison

Lackey scored two goals in her second straight game to help the Dukes beat Southern Miss 7-2 at home in the team's first conference game of the season. In 62 minutes of playing time, all four of her shots were on goal. She has four goals in just three games this season, giving her a .400 shooting percentage.
Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Jamie Schwartz, James Madison

Schwartz led the Dukes' defensive attacking offense to a 7-2 conference victory over Southern Miss. The junior recorded his first career two assists in the game and helped lead a defense that allowed just one shot and one corner kick in the second half.
